Support Discontinuation for SWAM v2 Products (June 3, 2025) - FAQ
SWAM v2: What happens after June 3, 2025?
SWAM v2 products, which have been out of the catalog for several years, will no longer be supported and will be permanently unavailable for download from the user portal.
I own at least one SWAM v2 product. Will I no longer be able to use it?
You will still be able to use the instruments, but there will be no updates or support from the Audio Modeling team. This may lead to compatibility issues with new operating systems, DAWs, and MIDI controllers. We recommend taking advantage of the UPGRADE offers for v2 customers to update to the latest version at a discounted rate.
What can I do?
Audio Modeling offers a highly advantageous UPGRADE from v2 to v3 with a 75% discount off the regular price for new customers. Purchases can be made by logging in to the user portal at my.audiomodeling.com.
What are the differences between v2 and v3? Are there additional benefits to upgrading from v2 to v3?
In general, the evolution can be summarized in three key areas:
- New interface and user experience, simpler to use and compatible with accessibility standards for screen readers and vocal readers.
- Improved sound synthesis engine with more management parameters, providing more realistic and accurate behavior, and a greater range for many instruments.
- Technological advancement of the development framework and improved compatibility with recent operating systems and DAWs.

I think I'll wait for another promotion to upgrade to v3…
The 75% discount offer is the last opportunity to benefit from an UPGRADE and will expire on June 3, 2025. It cannot be combined with other ongoing offers.
Examples:
SWAM Violin v3 UPGRADE costs only $30 USD/EUR instead of $120 USD/EUR.
SWAM Saxophones v3 UPGRADE costs only $63 USD/EUR instead of $250 USD/EUR.
How do I upgrade?
The upgrade is available on the user portal my.audiomodeling.com. Once logged in with your Audio Modeling account, you can view dedicated offers based on your existing licenses and products for upgrading from previous versions and completing bundles.
I don't have an account on the user portal. What should I do?
If you do not have an account on my.audiomodeling.com, it is likely that the purchase was made before November 22, 2017, when we ended our collaboration with Samplemodeling and changed our distribution channel.

All your SWAM license keys and authorization data have always been safely stored on our servers. If you haven't already, create a new account on our Customer Portal (my.audiomodeling.com) and register your products using your SWAM license keys: you will be able to get the latest updates and manage all authorizations and de-authorizations from there.
If you lost your license keys, please contact support@audiomodeling.com, providing details such as the email address or order number used to purchase the license at that time.
It doesn't seem fair to be forced to pay for an UPGRADE, why?
The Audio Modeling team works daily to improve products and adapt to continuous changes imposed by technological platforms such as operating systems, DAWs, MIDI controllers, and the entire ecosystem. This constant work has significant costs that are typically included in the product life cycle. At some point, it is necessary to refactor and rebuild everything in a new project because the technology it was conceived with is no longer updatable, requiring extensive work on a new major release. With each new release, we also add value with new features, improvements to the synthesis engine, and user experience enhancements.
I am not convinced and cannot upgrade to v3
We understand there may be valid reasons to maintain v2 versions. It is important to make an informed decision about the technical and commercial implications.
We recommend:
- Downloading the installers from the user portal and storing them, as they will no longer be available.
- "Freezing" your music production system in its current working state, avoiding updates to the operating system or DAWs you use, as incompatibilities that arise will no longer be resolved by Audio Modeling.
Can I open a support ticket for v2 products after June 3, 2025?
User support will no longer handle support requests for v2 products after this date.
Can I purchase the discounted 75% upgrade after June 3, 2025?
Starting June 4, 2025, v2 product owners will pay the full price for the v3 version.
Why won't there be dedicated support for v2 anymore?
Technical support is needed to solve problems that arise with operating systems and DAWs. It is important to stay up to date, and managing obsolete technology becomes challenging.
Which products are included in this offer?
The products included in this offer are only the Solo Woodwinds and Solo Strings. The Solo Brass are already using V3 technology, so they will not be discontinued.
Will the Solo Brass be discontinued?
No, Solo Brass will not be discontinued. The Solo Brass are already using V3 technology, so they will continue to be available and fully supported.
Can I upgrade from the Kontakt library distributed by Samplemodeling?
No, it is not possible because these products were created with a different technology not developed by Audio Modeling. They are made by a different manufacturer that has no affiliation with Audio Modeling or SWAM technology.
