The "OPTIONS" icon is the gateway to advanced configuration within PolySWAM. It's divided into two primary functional areas:
1. TUNING: Tuning & Microtuning
This section hosts advanced settings for pitch management. It will include:
Master Tuning: Global adjustments for the ensemble.
Microtuning: Advanced options to explore non-standard temperaments or subtle intonation variations, adding to the realism and character of the performance.
2. ADVANCED: Voice Management
This section provides deep control over how the current algorithms handle individual voices within the ensemble. It allows for optimization and customization of how the engine allocates and manages the polyphonic resources, ensuring that your CPU usage and musical results remain balanced and predictable. The actual parameters change depending on the voice allocation algorithm provided by the currently selected preset.
By providing these advanced controls, the OPTIONS section ensures that power users can tailor the engine to their specific playing style and project requirements, going well beyond the standard performance macros.
