Participating in the PolySWAM Public Beta is a straightforward process. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to join, install the software, and provide your valuable feedback.
1. Registration and Application
- Access the Portal: Visit the Audio Modeling user portal at my.audiomodeling.com/beta
- Log In or Sign Up: If you are an existing customer, log in with your standard credentials. Otherwise, create a new account.
- Find the Campaign: Navigate to the Beta Program section, where you will see all currently open beta campaigns.
- Apply: Click the "APPLY" button. You will need to fill out a short questionnaire, read the Beta Test Agreement and accept it.
2. Access and the Waiting List
Once you complete your application, the system will process your request:
- Immediate Access: In some cases, you will be granted access right away.
- Waiting List: You might be placed on a waiting list if the program requires manual approval or if maximum testing capacity has been reached. Please do not despair! The list is actively monitored and managed. Access is often expanded over time, and you will receive an email notification as soon as you are admitted.
3. Download and Installation
- Software Center: Once accepted, you will receive an email with instructions to download the beta via the Audio Modeling Software Center.
- Special Requirements: Please note that for PolySWAM, you may need to download and install a special beta version of the Software Center. Always follow the specific instructions provided in your welcome email.
- Install: Use the specified Software Center to download and install the PolySWAM beta onto your machine.
4. Providing Feedback and Bug Reports
Your feedback is vital to the development and refinement of PolySWAM. If you encounter bugs or have feature requests, please report them using the dedicated feedback form, which is always accessible on the Beta Program page within the customer portal.
Technical Requirements for the Beta
Currently, the PolySWAM beta is available for desktop only. Because PolySWAM encompasses all the advanced SWAM physical modeling technology and requires complex multi-core processing, your system needs to meet the following requirements:
Mac: Apple Silicon processors are required. The minimum requirement is an Apple Silicon M1, while an Apple Silicon M3 is recommended for optimal performance.
Windows: High-performance systems are necessary. Your CPU should offer processing power comparable to Apple Silicon architectures.
Note on Older Systems: You are welcome to try running the beta on less powerful or older generation processors; however, we cannot guarantee smooth performance, and these systems will not be officially supported during the initial rollout.
