The "More" button is the gateway to advanced configuration within PolySWAM. In the upcoming Beta 2, this section will receive a graphical interface update to better organize its powerful parameter set, which allows for granular, fine-tuned control over how the instruments behave.
The "More" menu is divided into three primary functional areas:
1. Advanced Dynamics & Attack Management
This section is crucial for balancing the "feel" of your performance, specifically regarding the interaction between Velocity and Expression during the note attack phase.
Dynamic Balancing: You can fine-tune how much influence Velocity and Expression have on the sound during a user-defined attack duration.
The Transition: After the initial attack time has elapsed, the Expression parameter takes over as the sole, dominant control for the remainder of the note.
Why this matters: * Velocity is your only polyphonic expressive parameter (unique to each note).
Expression is a global parameter (affecting all voices).
By managing the balance between these two during the attack, you can achieve the perfect compromise between per-note articulation and overall ensemble phrasing.
2. Tuning & Microtuning (Beta 2)
This section hosts advanced settings for pitch management. It will include:
Master Tuning: Global adjustments for the ensemble.
Microtuning: Advanced options to explore non-standard temperaments or subtle intonation variations, adding to the realism and character of the performance.
3. Voice Management
This section provides deep control over how the current algorithms handle individual voices within the ensemble. It allows for optimization and customization of how the engine allocates and manages the polyphonic resources, ensuring that your CPU usage and musical results remain balanced and predictable.
By providing these advanced controls, the More section ensures that power users can tailor the engine to their specific playing style and project requirements, going well beyond the standard performance macros.
