What are the limitations of the current Beta and what is coming in future versions?

The current Beta 3 release is specifically focused on validating the technical foundation of PolySWAM. Our primary goals for this phase are to ensure the stability of the MIDI voicing allocation engine, fine-tune the capture buffer response times, and verify the precision of the voice allocation algorithms.

Limitations in Beta 3. Beta two is the third step of the validation phase, the current version is intentionally streamlined. Notably, it includes only a limited selection of demonstration presets to ensure a controlled testing environment.

What’s coming in in future? We are actively developing several key features and enhancements that will be introduced with the future beta releases:

  • Polyphony Lock MIDI assignment. Currently, Polyphony Lock is statically assigned to CC64 (Sustain pedal). In the next release, it will be possible to assign any CC to "lock" the current polyphony, with the possibility to perform legato/portamento.

  • Better time randomization behavior.

  • Improved management of Global/Local parameter scope.

  • Expanded Preset Library: A significantly larger collection of presets will be available to broaden your creative possibilities.

  • Scene Management: You will gain the ability to save custom scenes directly within the application.

NOTE: Poly AfterTouch and MPE support will be implemented after v1.0.

We appreciate your feedback during this process as we work to build the most expressive and reliable polyphonic tool for SWAM instruments.
