The current Beta 1 release is specifically focused on validating the technical foundation of PolySWAM. Our primary goals for this phase are to ensure the stability of the MIDI voicing allocation engine, fine-tune the capture buffer response times, and verify the precision of the voice allocation algorithms.
Limitations in Beta 1 As this is an early validation phase, the current version is intentionally streamlined. Notably, it includes only a limited selection of demonstration presets to ensure a controlled testing environment.
What’s coming in Beta 2 and beyond? We are actively developing several key features and enhancements that will be introduced starting with the Beta 2 release:
New Preset Browser: we are adding tagging, more sorting options, interaction options, a refined layout.
Expanded Preset Library: A significantly larger collection of presets will be available to broaden your creative possibilities.
Integrated Audio Mixer: We are implementing a comprehensive internal mixer console, which will include master equalization (EQ) and dedicated effects for deeper sound sculpting.
Interactive Editing: The Keyboard Range view will evolve to allow for interactive editing, enabling you to modify instrument ranges directly via drag-and-drop functionality.
Scene Management: You will gain the ability to save custom scenes directly within the application.
We appreciate your feedback during this process as we work to build the most expressive and reliable polyphonic tool for SWAM instruments.
